Donations made to Camp Palmer pool fund

Staff Report

The Camp Palmer pool fund recently received a $5,000 donation from Farmers and Merchant State Bank, a $5,000 donation from Fulton County Dairy Association and a $1,500 donation from Williams County Dairy Association.

The new pool opened on May 31, 2015. Currently due to these donations and others the pool loan has been reduced to $52,000.

4-H Camp Palmer, Inc. serves youth from 11 counties in northwest Ohio and many groups from across the state, Michigan and Indiana. More information can be seen on

Two other pool fundraising events are planned at 4-H Camp Palmer: a Maple Syrup Brunch for Sunday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a 5K Walk/Run for Saturday, May 13 at 9 a.m.

Also, the 4-H Camp Palmer staff and board are very thankful for a $10,000 grant from the Cooper Family Foundation that has been designated for the upgrade of showers in Sauder Recreation Hall.
