Hog roast planned at American Legion


Benefits veterans with PTSD

A Fifth Annual Hog Roast will be presented by the Swanton Sons of the American Legion on Saturday at the Legion, 200 S. Hallett Ave.

The event runs from noon to 11 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and kids are free.

Proceeds benefit H.O.O.V.E.S. H.O.O.V.E.S. which stands for Healing Of Our Veterans through Equine Assisted Services, helps veterans, including those dealing with PTSD.

To help out, the Swanton Sons of the American Legion has converted their annual indoor hog roast into an outdoor, family-friendly, music festival. With a wide-range of genres, there’s something for everyone!

Scheduled to perform are Wilson Lake and the Rock Bass (Kids), Swingmania (Polka) Fossil Creek Band (Bluegrass), Jeff Stewart (Folk), Rodney Parker and Liberty Beach (Country), Chris Shutters (Blues), Mojo Pin (Alt. Rock), and Mess WIth Emily (Variety).
