• The Ohio High School Athletic Association rejected a proposal from state football coach to increase the number of playoff teams in each region from four to eight.

• Third and four grade students at Park Elementary School presented the operetta, “Hello World.” Students will speaking parts were Bob Rupp, Lois Dorsey, Judy Steyer, Randy Drewyor, Mike Fleming, Terry Tucker, James Saxer, Scott Flowers, Jeff Gilmartin, and Joey Wagner.
• The Swanton Meat Market and Locker homemade bulk sausage for 49 cents per pound.
