Tuesday, Sept. 24

Swanton Township Trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the township hall at the corner of Airport Highway and Scott Road. The public is welcome.

Mountain Bike 101: Kids, 6 p.m., Beach Ridge Area of Oak Openings. Develop new skills for riding on trails utilizing the new FitPark Ride bike skills course. Younger riders will be introduced to the skills course and increase their mountain biking skill set. Beginner friendly. Bike and helmet required, water bottle encouraged. Free. Wednesday, Sept. 25

Movie Discussion, 7-8 p.m., Swanton Public Library. The topic is “The Favourite.” No registration required. Copies available at desk.

Thursday, Sept. 26

Swancreek Water District meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Swancreek Township Hall located at 5565 County Road D. The meeting is open to the public.

Monday, Oct. 7

Swancreek Township Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. in the township hall, 5565 County Road D. The public is welcome.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

Swanton Village Council will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. at the municipal building, 219 Chestnut St. Finance and Water and Sewer meetings will be held before regular meeting, beginning at 6 p.m. The public is welcome.

Weekly/Monthly Event

Swanton Garden Club will hold monthly meetings. They will meet the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Call Jan Heyman at 419-206-2047 or Elfrieda Jewell at 419-826-4129 prior to the meeting to find out the location.

Growing through Grief Bereavement Group will meet the fourth Tuesday of every month from 3:30-5 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 N. Main St., Swanton. Conducted by licensed bereavement counselors, the sessions are free and open to anyone in the community who is interested in attending. Pre-registration is required. Free Dinner For All, first Thursday of the month at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 Dodge St. Swanton. Serving in the church hall from 5-6:30 p.m.
