• Joan Guthrie received a national cheerleader award. She was one of 24 senior cheerleaders to receive the Outstanding Senior award from the United States Cheerleader’s Association.

• Lunch prices at Swanton Schools were 35 cents for grades 1-4, 40 cents for grades 5-6, and 45 cents for grades 7-12.
