SHS grapplers finish 11th at LCC Invite

Swanton had four grapplers place as they claimed 11th place at the Thunderbird Invite at Lima Central Catholic.

Mimmo Lytle won the third place match at 285 pounds with a fall in 1:27 over Tyler Tschuor of Lima Central Catholic. Derek Johnson lost his third place match at 215 pounds to Joey Grubenhoff of Delphos St. John's 7-5.

Tom Leahey won the fifth place match at 160 pounds with an 8-4 decision over Anthony McCormick of Lima Central Catholic. Ben Roschmann placed sixth at 145 pounds when he was pinned by Damian Brown of Madeira in 1:48.

Mechanicsburg won the title when they edged Clinton-Massie 170.5-159.5 for first place.

The Swanton wrestling team fell to Bryan in a dual meet on Thursday.
