He worked for Matrix in Temperance, Mich., as a boilermaker. He loved wrestling, cooking and fishing. He was a 1998 graduate of Delta High School.
Left to laugh and tell stories are his father and stepmother, Robert (Josie) Stultz; mother, Carol (Sharples) Stultz; daughter, Averie Stultz; fiancée and mother of his child, Carys Fitzgerald; sister, Carie Clark,; stepbrother, Matthew Yunker; step-sister, Megan Hensley; grandfather, Jim Bushong; grandmother, Dorothea Sharples; and more friends than anybody on this earth had.
Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Marge Sharples; paternal grandparents, Perry and Marie Stultz; and grandmother, Elizabeth Bushong.
If Brian were to write this, we think this is what he would say: "I love life. It's a big roller coaster and I have ridden it well. My dad gave me the gift of a good work ethic, and I can do anything. My mom gave me the gift of a generous heart, and I help who I can. My fiancée gave me the gift of our child, Averie, and if you want to know what I'm like, watch her, I truly live through her. I love wrestling; it gave me life long friends. I love to cook; I am the Iron Chef. And I love to fish. My fish stories are true, and I have the pictures to prove it. Don't worry about me, I am with Jesus, we get along fine. He likes fishermen."
A memorial gathering was held Friday, April 17, 2009, at Weigel Funeral Home in Swanton. A memorial service was held Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swanton, with Rev. Brian Haller officiating. Interment was private.
