Protect Ohio farmers, vote 'yes' on Issue 2

I'm proud of the work ethic Ohio livestock and poultry farmers possess. This enables all of us in Ohio access to wholesome, nutritious, safe and affordable milk, meat and eggs.

This access is in jeopardy if Issue 2 fails. Washington D.C. and California based "activists" want to tell Ohio farmers how to raise livestock and poultry. They will seek extremely costly anti-farming regulations that will burden the state's farmers. This in turn will force family farms to discontinue livestock operations. We cannot allow this to happen. We need Ohio farmers doing what they do best - producing the food we enjoy. We must protect the availability of our local food sources.

A "Yes" vote on Issue 2 will assure Ohioans excellent care for Ohio livestock and poultry. Passage will create the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board, which will know and address the issues of livestock care across the state based on facts and science, rather than emotion.

I want my food produced here in Ohio by my neighbor farmers. Voting "Yes" gives consumers the choice of Ohio products first. Keep Ohio families producing livestock the way they know best - sound science, economic feasibility and outstanding livestock care for their herds and flocks.
