Swanton wrestling wins a pair of matches

HAMLER – Swanton wrestling dominated their competition at a Northwest Ohio Athletic League quad held at Patrick Henry on Thursday.

The Bulldogs defeated Liberty Center 60-15 and Patrick Henry 62-15. Wauseon, the fourth team in the quad, defeated those same two teams.

In Swanton’s match with Liberty Center, the Bulldogs got pins from Zach Schaller (120), Trevor Schaller (126), Ryan Marvin (160) and Crew Oberheim (195).

Other winners were Dylan Cook (132) and Chase Moore (152), who each won by decision. The Bulldogs also had five victories by forfeit against the Tigers.

Winning by pin against Patrick Henry were Gage Pachlhofer (145), Marvin (160), Mitchell Reisinger (170) and Greg Wilson (220). Trevor Schaller added a 19-4 technical fall victory at 126 pounds. At 113 pounds, Zack Zawodni earned a 6-4 decision.

Swanton then added five wins by forfeit.

The Dogs are in action again next Thursday and Friday at the Defiance Border War Invitational.
