A ceremony will be held in August to name the Swanton High School soccer field after longtime boys coach Thomas Krupitzer.

Kruptizer guided the Swanton boys soccer team from its inception in 1995 until his retirement following last season. During his tenure, Krupitzer won a total of 132 games along with three league titles, two sectional titles and, this past year Swanton High School’s first ever boys soccer district title.

The field dedication will take place at noon on Aug. 9, the day of the Swanton soccer alumni game.

“We would like to invite anyone who is interested to come out and take part in honoring Coach Krupitzer for all of his hard work and dedication to the Swanton High School Boys Soccer team,” said Wade Haselman, Swanton High School athletic director.
