Swanton quarterback Bryce McComb was named offensive player of the year in the Northwest Ohio Athletic League, leading several Bulldogs earning postseason honors.
McComb, a senior, was the first team quarterback, and was joined on the first team offense by junior receiver Gunnar Oakes.
Swanton senior J.D. Reisinger was named to the first team at defensive tackle. Senior Robbie Gilsdorf was named first team defensive back as well as second team all-league at wide receiver.
Junior kicker Nick Koback was a first team specialist.
Joining Gilsdorf on the second team offense were four other Bulldogs. Junior tackle Zach Dziengelewski, senior guard Dean Sego and senior center Zach Nowakowski were all honored. Freshman running back Michael Lawniczak was also named to the second team.
On second team defense for Swanton were senior Nick Sienkiewicz at defensive end, junior Tim Rankin at linebacker, and Sego at tackle.
Honorable mention honors for Swanton went to junior Connor Yaney, Oakes, senior Owen Dodd, senior Austin Jones, senior Justin Timpe, freshman Brennan Spiess, and junior Jonathon Shanks.
The Bulldogs finished the season with a 10-2 record, winning their first league title since 1995 and winning the first playoff game in school history.
