Swanton High School accounting students were recently invited through the FBI office in Toledo to be given a tour of the Federal Courthouse and to sit in on a civil bench trial.

They were provided time to meet and speak with an FBI Special Agent, a United States Prosecuting Attorney, Federal Marshal, Federal Public Defendant and The Honorable Judge Jack Zouhary on the role that accounting plays in their respective careers. Students were given an excellent opportunity to see accounting within the legal system and federal law enforcement; and the career opportunities that are linked to it.

Swanton Accounting is a program enrolled with the College Credit Plus Option, and is funded through the Penta Career Center. Students are receiving college accounting credits through their high school course work
