Campfire Cooking Warm Delights, 6 p.m., Oak Openings Preserve. Join Metroparks staff for an enjoyable campfire culinary experience and experiment with different methods of preparing meals around a campfire. This session’s menu includes cinnamon sugar baked apples and berry grunt. Cooking equipment, food, recipes, and instructions will be provided; just bring your appetite! Participants are also encouraged to bring their own reusable plate, bowl, silverware, and mug to minimize the amount of waste generated. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Teen Winter Holiday Party for grades 6-12, 4-5:15 p.m., Swanton Public Library. 6-12. Celebrate Christmas and other winter holidays at the library. There will be games, craft supplies, cookies to decorate, and plenty of candy (including candy canes!) to make into crafts – or eat. Hot chocolate included in honor of the first day of winter. No registration required. Free.
Solstice Celebration: Yoga Flow, 7-8:15 p.m., Swanton Public Library. Join yoga instructor Aimee Strohbeck, for a special ‘winter solstice celebration’ yoga class. This class is for more experienced yoga practitioners and is not recommended for beginners. Cost is free, with a suggested $10 donation to the library.

Growing through Grief Bereavement Group will meet the fourth Tuesday of every month from 3:30-5 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 N. Main St., Swanton. Conducted by licensed bereavement counselors, the sessions are free and open to anyone in the community who is interested in attending. Pre-registration is required.
