Norma Leonard and Doni Portentoso are the new owners of the Deals & $teals Thrift Shop at 108 S. Main St. in Swanton. Deals & Steals is for the thrifty and money conscious. They are a clean, fresh, gently used store for people to come & shop.
Their inspiration came from their mothers Norma Bentley and Lillian Knauss, who taught them to be thrifty and use their money wisely.
They will be shelving things such as clothes, household goods, toys, furniture, shoes, dishes, and more. They will also gladly be accepting donations – but only during business hours. They don’t want donations dropped off at the front door while they aren’t there and potentially causing a sidewalk hazard.
Their merchandise will be clean, up to date and they will check all electronics to make sure they are in working order.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
They opened Nov. 1 in preparation for their grand opening on Wednesday, Nov. 8.
