It is Homecoming Week at Swanton High School.
Homecoming festivities will begin Thursday with a parade starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Fulton County Eastern District Courthouse at the corner of Main and St. Clair streets. It will travel north on Main Street to Dodge Street, ending at the parking lot by the football practice field.
This is a different route than in the past. There will be recaps of the fall sports from the team captains, introductions of the court, and announcement of this year’s King and Queen.
Those activities will be followed by the new kickball tournament on the football field which features freshman girls against sophomore girls, and junior girls against senior girls, followed by the championship game.
Friday night, introductions of Homecoming Court will begin at 6:15 p.m. prior to the football game against Liberty Center.
The Swanton High School Homecoming Dance will be Saturday in the high school gym from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $15 pre-sale, and $20 at the door. All tickets can be purchased during A and B lunch from Student Council members.
