Shredding, e-waste included in Swanton clean-up day

The Village of Swanton will hold a clean up day on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Village residents can drop of items for disposal at the street department, located at the corner of Clark Street and Bassett Avenue.

There are some restrictions on what can be dropped off. There is a limit of two loads of trash.

Items not accepted include leaves, grass clippings, brush, tree, household garbage, tires, car batteries, motor oil, rocks, bricks, concrete, asphalt, paint, chemicals, oil, gas, ammunition. For a full list visit the Village of Swanton, Ohio Facebook page.

Two other services will also be offered on site at Saturday — e-waste recycling and paper shredding.

Recycle I.T. USA will be on site collecting computers/servers, cameras, camcorders, monitors, printers, keyboards, mice, networking hardware, scanners, projectors, cell phones and PDAs, video game consoles, speakers and stereo equipment, memory, and storage devices. For more information visit

Allshred Services will also offer paper shredding at the location. There is a five box maximum and it is available from 9-11 a.m.
