Minecraft, anime programs planned


Come play Minecraft at Swanton Public Library from 1-4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14. This is open for beginners to advanced players with existing Minecraft accounts (server access is provided).

Library officials ask each participant to bring a snack to share. Drinks will be provided by the library. Bring your own laptop, or if you don’t have one, the library has laptops to loan out. SPL laptops will be given out on a first-register, first-served basis.

Anime Club

Visit to the Swanton Public Library from 4-5:30 p,m, on Wednesday, Aug. 12 for an afternoon all about anime and otakudom. Join in to try ramen, watch two or three episodes of an anime (or two) chosen by the attendees, and play Japanese dance videos and other geeky videos if requested.

Participants are welcome to come in cosplay, anime or otherwise. Open to those who just completed grades 6-12, as well as rising sixth graders. No registration required for the free program.
