Kids can meet hero dogs


This week at Swanton Public Library,

• Toddlers ages 6 months to 2 years with an attending adult can learn about “Helping Heroes” on Tuesday, July 7, at 10:30 a.m.

• Children ages 3–5 can learn about hero animals in “Helping Paws” on Tuesday, July 7, at 10:30 a.m.

• Children ages 4 up through second grade can attend the “Incredible Years Prevention Program” or Dinosaur School at 11:15 a.m on Tuesday, July 7. This is a program that builds social skills through fun and learning put on by Four County Family Center.

• Children who just completed grades 3, 4, and 5 can meet Jerry the bomb-sniffing dog and Bruno the service dog in “Canine Heroes” on Wednesday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m.

• Children who just completed grades K, 1, and 2 can meet Jerry the bomb-sniffing dog and learn about other canine heroes in “Hero Dogs” on Thursday, July 9, at 10:30 a.m.
