Swanton Band, Easter Seals team for drive

Clothes, other items accepted

The Swanton Marching Band is working hand in hand with the Easter Seals to help you clean out your closets this spring.

They will be holding a clothing drive at the high school on two dates – April 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and April 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The items collected will earn the band money for each pound collected. They will take clothing items, shoes, book bags, belts, purses, draperies, bed linens, towels, scrap sewing material, and rags.

If you aren’t sure about an item, organizers said bring it along and the Easter Seals team will sort it.

Just drop your items off at the truck anytime during those two days. If you are not able to drive through those days, contact a Swanton Band member or parent to see if other arrangements can be made to get the items.

There will be help offered at the truck for unloading your vehicle.

There will be donation bags going home with the kids and available at upcoming events at the high school, however the items can arrive in any container.
