The Swanton Rotary Gala and Auction was a huge success, according to Angela Rose, Rotary president.
There were well over 100 people in attendance and 118 items were donated by local businesses for the silent auction. The event took place at The Swanton Sports Center.
“The entertainment was exceptional,” Rose said. Dinner music was provided by the Rob Cintron Trio with after dinner entertainment by Patrick’s Magic and Brad Shreves finished the evening with some great music.
There was an international themed dinner provided by the Swanton Health Care Dining Services.
After expenses the event raised approximately $9,000, according to Rose.
All money raised will go to scholarships and park improvements. The improvements include the new LED sign planned for Memorial Park and the fountain that will assist beautification in Pilliod Park.
