Leprechaun Bash, Swanton Public Library, 4-5:30 p.m. Kids in grades 6-12 can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and Ireland! They’ll have a scavenger hunt for chocolate gold coins, sample Irish foods, funny videos, and more! Registration is requested; go online to swantonpubliclibrary.org, call, or stop by the library. Cardmaking class, 6:30 p.m., Swanton Public Library. Cardmaking classes, led by Anna Geis, continue in March with spring-themed cards, including one for a new baby. the fee is $5 for 3 cards. eNature: Get the Most Out of Your Photo Gear, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Oak Openings Buehner Center. Think you need a fancy camera or long lens to go out and take great pictures in nature? Think again. You have the ability to take any photo with your phone, point and shoot, or other camera. This program offers tips and tools to help you get to know your camera, offering both indoor classroom and outdoor photography time. Celebrate Ireland, 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Swanton Public Library. Hear Irish stories, try some Irish food, play some Irish games, and make an Irish craft. The program is for grades K-5. Register for this free party on our website, at the front desk, or by calling 419-826-2760.

Easter Egg Hunt, Swanton Memorial Park shelter house. Hosted by Swanton Lions Club from 1-3 p.m.

Spring Equinox Geocache, 1 p.m., Evergreen Lake at Oak Openings. Chase out the winter blues and welcome in spring with a fun GPS spring scavenger hunt. No geocaching experience necessary. Teen Anime Club, 4 p.m., Swanton Public Library. Come to the library for an afternoon all about anime and otakudom! Join in to talk about anime and eat snacks, Japanese and otherwise. Free program from grades 6-12.

Thursday, March 24

Swancreek Water District Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the township building, 5565 County Road D. The public is welcome.

Afternoon Adventure: Nature Play, 2 p.m., Oak Openings Preserve. Get ready to get all your wiggles out as we explore our natural world! A Metropark naturalist will provide materials to help facilitate the nature play event. Come learn about the benefits of playing in nature while you enjoy our beautiful Metroparks! Monday, March 28

Swanton Village Council will meet at the Swanton Municipal Building, 219 Chestnut St. at 7 p.m. The Public Service and Public Safety Committees will meet prior to the meeting, beginning at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Weekly/Monthly Event

The Fulton County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society meets the second Tuesday of the month except July and August at 7 p.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 410 Taylor St., Delta. Speakers, programs, research tips. Public welcome.

OPERS Fulton County Chapter 29 meets the third Tuesday of each month at the Wauseon Senior Center.
