Enterprise awarded for news coverage

The Swanton Enterprise received an award for news coverage at the annual Osman C. Hooper Newspaper Show held recently during 2016 Ohio Newspaper Association Convention.

“We are honored to have received these awards from the Ohio Newspaper Association,” said Drew Stambaugh, Swanton Enterprise editor.

The Enterprise won a second place award for news coverage in Group D. Group D included weekly newspapers in Ohio with a circulation of up to 3,100.

This category was judged on the overall quality of community news coverage.

Judges said the Enterprise had an “excellent combination of local community news and community information. Front pages were showcases for the news”

Also, sister paper, the Fulton County Expositor, received a first place award for sports coverage and a third place award for news coverage.
