Swanton library offers events

The Swanton Public Library is offering several events in March.

Beginning Yoga, with instructor Aimee Strohbeck, will be held Mondays, March 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 10:15-11:45 a.m. These sessions are slightly more advanced than those on Thursdays, providing students with an opportunity to expand their skill level. Class fee is $10 per session, with multi-session tickets available.

Intro to Yoga will be held Thursdays March 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, from 10:15- 11:30 am. Class fee is by donation, with proceeds benefiting the library.

Students attending yoga classes are asked to bring a yoga mat and towel, and to wear comfortable clothing.

Card making classes led by Anna Geis continue in March with spring-themed cards, including for a new baby. The class will be held Thursday, March 17, 6:30-8 p.m. The fee is $5 for three cards. Children eight and older are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Registration is required. Call 419-826-2760 to register or register online.

The library will also continue a chess group, led by Joe Mossa, to be offered Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 1 p.m.

The SPL Knitting Group led by Kathy Queen will meet daytime on Mondays, March 14 and 28, at 1:30 p.m., and evening on Wednesdays, March 2, 16, and 30 at 6:30 pm. The class is free, and all skill levels, as well as crocheters, are welcome. Beginners are asked to bring a pair of knitting needles, size 8 to 15.
