Lyons man found guilty of violence, assault

A Lyons man was found guilty of domestic violence and felonious assault following a 1 1/2-day trial last week in Fulton County Common Pleas Court.

A jury of nine men and three women deliberated approximately one hour before returning their verdicts against Jacob N. Sloan, 23. Judge James E. Barber deferred sentencing while a presentence investigation is conducted.

Sloan is being held in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

The defendant was represented by attorney Joseph Urenovitch, and prosecuted by Fulton County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Paul Kennedy.
