Swanton’s Got Talent to return


By popular demand, this year’s Swanton Corn Festival on Aug. 22 will be bringing back Swanton’s Got Talent. Organizers are looking for all kinds of acts including but not limited to singing, dancing, instrumental, comedy, and magic.

This event will take place on Stage 2 early afternoon, following the parade and after the cheerleading performances. This competition is open to any and all ages and there is no entry fee. New to the festival this year will be the Swanton Corn Art Exhibit Booth. They are looking for all and any kind of craft or artwork that uses corn or has corn as its theme.

Any medium will be accepted including but not limited to art glass, ceramics, painting, sketches, photography, needlework, sculptures or crafty items. They will except work from all ages.

There is no entry fee and first, second and third place ribbons will be awarded. Currently, there will be no class or age divisions. In speaking with the coordinators, they say that with this being a new endeavor, they will wait to see what the entries are before they decide how to break things down.
