The Swanton Public Library has several events scheduled for January.
Beginning Yoga will be offered Mondays, Jan. 11 and 25, from 10:15-11:45 a.m., with instructor Aimee Strohbeck. Monday sessions are slightly more advanced than those on Thursday, providing students with an opportunity to expand their skill level. Class fee is $10 per session, with multi-session tickets available.
Intro to Yoga will be offered Thursdays, Jan. 14, 21, and 28, from 10:15-11:30 a.m. Class fee is by donation, with proceeds going to the library.
Students in both yoga classes are asked to bring a yoga mat and bath towel, and to wear comfortable clothing.
Coloring for Grown-ups: Why Should Kids Have all the Fun?, Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2:30 p.m. Free program facilitated by artisit-in-residence Gail Phipps. Adults are invited to come and color and create a beautiful piece to display. We provide amazing coloring sheets and colored pencils. Call to register.
Janet Amid, recently voted Toledo’s favorite astrologer, will present a free program on astrology and what to expect in 2016, on Thursday, Jan. 4, 7-8 p.m. Call the library to register or register online at www.swantonpubliclibrary.org/node/240.
