Countywide Christmas Dinner again planned

Served in Wauseon; all welcome

Once again this year, a Countywide Christmas Dinner will be sponsored by American Legion Post #265 and the Wauseon Rotary Club.

The dinner is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome. Donations come from throughout the community.

Dinner is served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post #265 at 1105 N. Shoop Ave., Wauseon. Deliveries are also available. In addition, if in need of a ride, someone will be available to pick up those interested.

If in need of a ride or for deliveries call Deb Villalovos at 419-337-0166; Larry Lammon II at 419-335-7700; Jim Gype at 419-335-3766; or Doug Vollmer at 419-337-7227. After 8 a.m. on Christmas Day, call the American Legion at 419-337-8383.

Volunteers are needed and very welcomed. Call any of the above if interested in helping out with the dinner.

The Christmas meal began in 1986 by members of the Lutz family. At the first meal, served at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 35 guests gathered to share food, fun and fellowship. There was enough food to to deliver meals to shut-ins as well.
