Swanton Township Board of Trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Swanton Township Hall, 13410 Airport Highway. The public is welcome to attend.
Under the Moon 5K, 7 p.m., Secor Metropark. Join Metroparks, the Toledo Roadrunners Club and Dave’s Running for a special event under the light of the moon. Run against the clock or enjoy a walk on the 3.1 mile trail course. Special lighting will help guide the way but flashlights and headlamps are suggested. This is a fun event for all; there will be no official timing or scoring so go at your own pace. Along with a great Autumn run/walk under the moon, enjoy roaring fire pits, apple cider, s’mores, music and learn from Metroparks naturalist, what sings in the night. Halloween Hoopla and Trick-or-Treating will be held in Swanton. Halloween Hoopla will be from 3-5 p.m. downtown, while trick-or-treating is 6-7:30 p.m. throughout the village.

Swancreek Township Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. at the township administrative office, 5565 County Road D. The public is welcome to attend.

Old Fashioned Bonfire: Campfire Concert, 7 p.m., Oak Openings Preserve. Fun at the campground doesn’t have to end when summer does! Bring the whole family down for a good old fashioned bonfire at the White Oak Campground. We will be roasting marshmallows, singing camp songs, and more. Folding lawn chairs are recommended but will not be provided, please bring your own. Attendees are asked to register in advance at metroparkstoledo.com.
Autumn Adventure: Oak Openings by Horseback, 12 p.m. Explore the Oak Openings trails on horseback with experienced naturalists. Learn about winter tree ID and other ways you can explore the great outdoors this coming winter. You must provide your own horse and helmets must be worn at all times for safety. Helping Other Parents Experiencing Grief (HOPE) is a support group that meets the third Monday of every month, except December, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fulton County Health Center meeting room. HOPE offers support for parents who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or the death of infants, young children and teenagers due to illness or accident.
