Swanton High School’s Marie Blaylock named finalist in photography competition


Marie Blaylock’s photo at senior night for the Swanton girls soccer team was selected as a finalist in a national competition.


Swanton High School student Marie Blaylock has had her photo selected as a finalist in Photographer Forum’s national photography competition. Her photo capturing the emotion of members of the girls soccer team on senior night was selected from among 14,000 entries.

Judges will choose first through fourth place, plus 100 honorable mentions.

Blaylock, a junior, will also have her work published in the magazine’s hardcover book “Best of College and High School Photography 2016.” First through fourth place winners will also be exhibited at the Brooks Institute.
